for the All-America City Award Chats
The National Civic League will be holding free Internet Chats for all Finalists.İ These chats will cover the topics of generating media coverage and an overview of the entire All-America City Awards competition process.İ To attend a chat you simply need to have access to the Internet.İ The schedule of the chats is:

This will be a unique opportunity for you to get to know others involved with the All-America City Award and the staff of the National Civic League.İ To attend these chats, please follow the instructions below:
To get to the chat room:İ http://www.ncl.org/chat
1.İ Once you have
reached the page, click
on the link indicated above to open the chat room in a new window.
2.İ Once you are in the new window, please enter
your first name and community name in the "nickname" box. Spaces are
not allowed, and your name may be shortened (sorry). For example:
3.İ Click "login" and you will
enter the chat room.
4.İ To send a message, type it in the bottom
box, and hit the enter key.
5.İ To log out, click on the "x" in
the top-right corner of the screen twice (you will be prompted on the second
click - say "ok").
6.İ Make sure that ì#nclî is highlighted when
you want to chat. It is possible to be in other screens, but you will not be
able to participate in the chat except when you are in the ì#nclî room.
7.İ You may log back in at any time, if
you lose your connection.
8.İ Please do not use the back, forward,
refresh, or stop buttons on your browser while you are in the chat room. If it
appears that you are no longer receiving messages, close the chat room, click
on the link at the top of this page, and start over.
