Muncie, Indiana

Cardinal Greenway is a volunteer effort dedicated to the development of a premier rails-to-trails facility near Muncie, Indiana. The 60-mile greenway provides a safe, free recreational trail for walkers, bicyclists, and equestrians. The Muncie Center for the Arts is a focal point of community cultural activities. Cutbacks in arts programming in the schools and lack of funding for local organizations disconnected many citizens from the area’s creative influences. The Center now reaches out to the community through 37 broad-based arts programs. The Youth Opportunity Center, Inc. (YOC) is a residential and outpatient counseling and education treatment facility for children and their families. Designed to break the cycle of dependence on child welfare and juvenile justice systems, the YOC enables youth to be treated in a safe environment close to home.
