The Manor Field Family Center, created to address the desperate need for services and the overall lack of bilingual area service providers to the growing Latino community, seeks to empower the family through advocacy and education. Highview at Huntington is a successful community-initiated effort with the cooperation of business and government that provides 100 affordable housing units at the sight of a once blighted lot and exemplifies smart growth principles. Huntington United Against Hate is a series of programs aimed at education, prevention and offering positive alternative fro youth, the community has benefited from an awareness-raising gang summit, comprehensive youth recreational programming and an educational anti-bias forum.
