Mohawk Valley Economic Development Growth Enterprises Corporation is the primary contact and economic development organization for the region, created to be a highly-visible marketing arm in a competitive national arena, making Mohawk Valley a first choice location, increasing population and income. The Chamber Alliance of the Mohawk Valley is a consortium of nine chambers of commerce representing over 3,000 businesses; its mission is to offer a united presence to the business community and elected officials. 2001, A Reading Odyssey is a cooperative summer reading program that uses themes and materials to mix cultural programs, reading encouragement and fun to help children practice their reading skills over the summer.
