The "Road to Reuse" is a collaborative process in the community
to find productive uses for the former Amoco properties, as well as to determine
the extent of the clean-up necessary to protect users of the facilities and
the neighbors to the area. The Rail/Trail Project ties downtown businesses
and shopping with the Nicolaysen Art Museum, the Natrona County Library, elderly
housing, and parks, as well as to create a community center to house community
functions. The Youth Empowerment Council is a volunteer youth council
made up of representatives from area schools providing a place for young people
to share ideas and work on projects that will make a difference in their future.
