The Downtown Evansville Revitalization Project is a coordinated, citywide effort to enhance the quality of life and spark economic development through the renewal of a once-vibrant urban center. The School Community Council, a coalition of teachers, administrators, parents, businesses, residents, government officials, and social and health service providers, work together to establish Full Service Schools as places of community to enhance youth and family development. Youth First, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to reducing youth substance abuse in the greater Evansville. Youth First provides research-proven prevention, intervention and treatment programs to schools, churches, treatment centers and other youth-serving organizations such as the YMCA and the Boys and Girls Club.
