The City of Grand Prairie's Housing and Neighborhood Services - Neighborhood Revitalization Division (NR) works to revitalize six targeted low to moderate income communities through the intense development and enhancement of neighborhood associations. The NR Division also provides a much-needed bridge between the residents and the city government, educating about different available services and programs and communicating resident concerns to the proper city authorities. To address the citizens' wants, concerns, and complaints about the parks system, the Mayor, City Council and community residents created a Park Master Plan identifying repairs, expansion and new facility needs. The Clean Campus program encourages good environmental stewardship among all citizens in Grand Prairie; particularly focusing on the youth by teaching about saving the environment through active participation in recycling, litter prevention, and water quality programs.
